Terms of use
The terms on which this website is made available. These are separate from the terms on which we buy and sell goods.
1. Who operates this site
This website is operated by Invenio Mercantile Limited, a private company limited by shares registered in Ireland, registered office 24A Baggot Street Upper, Dublin, D04 N528, Ireland. References to "we", "us" and "our" are to that company.
2. Acceptance
By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
3. Nothing here is an offer
The information on this site is published for general information. Commodity descriptions, grades, volumes, equipment, routes, Incoterms and lane statuses are indicative and are not an offer capable of acceptance. No contract for the purchase or sale of goods arises from this website. A binding contract arises only when terms are agreed in writing between us and a named counterparty.
4. Our trading terms are separate
Purchases and sales are governed by our conditions of purchase and sale, issued with the relevant quotation, purchase order or sales contract. Where those conditions conflict with anything on this website, those conditions prevail.
5. Accuracy and availability
We take reasonable care over the content of this site but do not warrant that it is complete, current or free from error. Regulatory positions, tariff headings and lane statuses change, and you should not act on anything here without confirming it with us in writing. We do not guarantee that the site will be available uninterrupted or free of defects.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, layout, graphics and the Invenio Mercantile name and monogram, belongs to us or is used with permission. You may view, download and print pages for your own business assessment of working with us. You may not republish, sell, or use our content or marks commercially without our written consent.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not use this site unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm us or anyone else
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure
- Do not extract content systematically for the purpose of building a competing database or service
- Do not impersonate Invenio Mercantile Limited or use our name or marks in correspondence with third parties
8. Links to other websites
Where we link to a third-party site we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their handling of your data.
9. Fraud and impersonation
Invoice redirection fraud is common in international trade. Our bank details are issued on our invoice and on no other document, and they do not change. Any communication purporting to come from us that requests payment to a different account, or that asks you to treat new details as urgent or confidential, should be treated as fraudulent. Verify by telephoning the number published on this site before releasing funds. We accept no liability for payments made to accounts we did not issue.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, contracts, business or anticipated savings, arising from use of this website or reliance on its content. This clause concerns the website only. Liability arising from a contract for the sale or purchase of goods is dealt with in our trading terms.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy notice. This site sets no cookies.
12. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction. Disputes arising under a contract for the sale or purchase of goods are governed by the dispute resolution provisions of that contract.
13. Changes
We may amend these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies.
